BIOGRAPHY

Every one has a story. And every story is worth preserving.
Patton Productions creates custom-design video biographies that help families pass their stories down to future generations. These can be designed to commemorate a special occasion or capture perishable memories. We also produce videos to help families document valuable family possessions.

Not Your Average Joe
- Col. Joseph F. Dunn

The family of a World War II veteran and college professor commissioned Patton Productions to produce a film which would capture unique personality, devotion to service and love of family. The 40-minute film, featuring interviews with Col. Dunn, and various family members, friends and colleagues, premiered before a large gathering of family and friends celebrating this beloved patriot and professor on his 95th birthday. (excerpt)

Soldier/Photographer Tony Vaccaro

At the invitation of New York City's PBS-affiliate station,Patton Productions produced a short-documentary about WWII veteran and acclaimed Look and Life feature photographer Tony Vaccaro, whose seminal work while serving as an infantry scout in the 83rd Infantry Division [under the US Third Army] during World War II and then as a photographer for the Stars and Stripes newspaper from 1945-49, captured both the demise of the Third Reich and birth of modern Germany.  The montage at the end of this clip features some of Tony's most famous works.

The film aired several times New York Public Television on Veterans Day, and has proved a valuable international calling card for the much sought-after 87 year-old's legendary portfolio. (excerpt)

General Julius Becton at 80

We were hired by the children of a distinguished American Army General to produce a half-hour program (along with a collection of memorable outtakes) commemorating his life's achievements...so far.  We integrated dozens of interviews, home movie footage, and stills into a powerful collage of memories and reflections.  The storyline was developed around several key themes including integrity and service to country.

In addition to producing the video, we also had the great pleasure of presenting the video on a big screen and sound system at a formal dinner of over 200 family and friends. He might not admit it, but the General was utterly surprised -  and the family will have this keepsake for generations to come. (excerpt)

Sweet Briar College Reunion

We were invited by the alumnae of Sweet Briar College to produce a special program on the occasion of their 55th class reunion. The piece centered on the senior musical, in which they all participated in back in 1955. Classmates interviewed offered intriguing comparisons between the experience of attending the college in the 1950s and life today. The work included interviews, archival material, and digitizing of LP recordings of their original performance. (excerpt)

A Gathering of Heroes - US 11th Armored Division Reunion

When the veterans and families of the famed US 11th Armored Division gathered for a recent reunion to share their wartime experiences with family and friends, Patton Productions was there to film the occasion. The resulting DVD is a timeless treasure for each veteran's family, and is being offered to PBS stations around the country for broadcast in the communities where these largely unsung American heroes live.
